Nourishing Mother Earth with Gratitude

More than a decade of For A Tree

A Commitment to Reciprocity

For A Tree was launched in 2012 to honor trees and our deep interdependence with Mother Earth.  We recognize that personal, intimate, and reciprocal relationships with the natural world are essential to healing the planet, and humanity.

By drawing on the power of intention and ceremony to create change, For A Tree offers everyone a simple way to express gratitude to life-giving trees.

For A Tree’s founders, Rani Findlay and Woody Winfree, are Certified Life-Cycle Celebrants®, trained by The Celebrant Foundation & Institute in the art and craft of ceremony.

Honoring the wisdom of indigenous understanding and practices, extensive research, and their personal experience of creating ceremony, Rani and Woody embraced the understanding that a heartfelt, spirit-filled offering of gratitude, would best serve Mother Earth.

This led to the core belief of For A Tree: in order to receive, one must give.

Now, after more than a decade, For A Tree continues to offer individual and community ceremonies of blessings and gratitude, understanding that we have a responsibility as caretakers of the Earth.

Our care begins with the recognition of how much is given to us by these life-sustaining trees, and all forms of life, on planet Earth. It culminates with saying, “Thank You.”
