Wind is the great living force moving powerfully across our precious Mother Earth as it gusts, blows, prevails, carries, surges, spirals, and transports.
Wind works tirelessly to create balance on Mother Earth.
It brings warm weather to cold places and gentle breezes where it’s hot. Without this dispersal of temperature, we’d be in trouble, living in extremes. Wind provides for our cherished ecosystems, and without it, they would change or disappear.
Wind carries the rain clouds and transports moisture and temperature from one area to another. Weather patterns and ocean currents change when the wind shifts direction.
Wind conveys heat, moisture, seeds, and pollen to new areas. It affects plant growth, reproduction, distribution, and, ultimately plant evolution. It is the force for shedding and releasing the leaves from the trees.

Our treasured Wind embraces all that exists in the universe with the power to soothe, unsettle, cool, heat, balance, equalize and interconnect with all life on Mother Earth. We, humans, benefit immeasurably from the many gifts the beloved Wind bestows, and so we offer our gratitude in the sacred act of ceremony. A prayer of gratitude offered freely from a sincere heart creates nourishment and healing.
May this act of generosity create an unending billowing of gratitude that merges with every gust of wind that blesses our precious and beloved Mother Earth.
In the universal spirit of ceremony…Set your intention and initiate these sacred acts
CREATE
In an outdoor space, in the presence of a tree, a plant, a branch, railing, or porch.
Within reach of tying your fabric offerings, gather items for an altar in honor of Wind.
Incense, wind chimes, a bell, feathers…
STATE YOUR INTENTION
To express gratitude for the Winds sustaining our life on Mother Earth.
ENTER SACRED SPACE
Breathe, hum, rattle, sing, play a wind instrument, ring a bell.
Light a candle, incense, and herbs.
With arms outstretched, move with ribbons in your hands in the directions of North,
East, South, West, and Center.
Inhale and exhale deeply 3 times in each direction.
OFFER YOUR BLESSING
Write or verbally express words of gratitude onto the strips of fabric or ribbon.
Hold the ribbons in your hand as you offer your blessing.
